Equations for ASTER radiometric calibration
TIR Level-1A, 1B, 3A
Radiometric calibration coefficient (RCC) versions 1.x and 2.x used for ASTER Thermal Infrared (TIR) products
processed before 8 February 2006 include an error caused from delay in RCC updating.
This error has been reduced for RCC version 2.09 or later, applied to products observed after October 2002,
but is large in earlier RCC versions, particularly versions 2.05 and 2.06 applied to products observed from February 2001 to October 2002,
although the error depends on a scene observation date.
Recent products processed on or after 8 February 2006 have been calibrated by RCC versions 3.x
which are regressively calculated on a day-by-day basis by Sakuma's method (2005).
Thus, RCC versions 3.x are basically accurate enough, but still include some errors dependent on a scene observation date,
particularly products observed around late June and early July in 2006 may have a not-small error.
