The map is processed using the ASTER data and LANSAT-7/ETM data of different growth condition of vegetation. In this analysis, the VSW index is computed by examining the degree of separation between land covering classes. Wetland area was identified by applying the maximum likelihood method to the VSW index images of 2 seasons.
